Gregory gave me the heads up to start a thread solely based on JMMA. So here it is. I'll mainly be focusing on everything JMMA oriented, so I'll continuously post cards, updates, results, info and more. Results will have their own separate threads. Enjoy your JMMA!

He most likely was signed because of the Singapore card, curious what he can do when he actually has an extended training camp instead of fighting every other week

Speaking of Yamagami, he vacated the Shooto flyweight title at the last Shooto event. Junji Suramaru and Shinya Murofushi will be fighting or it on 1/13.

Yamagami said he's moving up to flyweight because he's looking to get signed by the UFC. So add his name to list of fighters who've openly expressed interest in signing with the UFC.

Other fighters who've also expressed interest in signing with the UFC are DJ.taiki who Tweeted recently he was bummed he hasn't received an offer from the UFC, Masanori Kanehara and Shinsho Anzai.

And in news that will make the internet explode and I'll just copy my Tweet:

Fedor Emelianenko will serve as one of the judges for the upcoming Ishii vs. Fujita fight on NYE at INOKI BOM-BA-YE 2013.

Welcome! Really like what you have going on so far, is there a possibility that you will stream the event? Here's your event page on this site btw

Guan Wang vs Magomedov is still on, the UFC couldnt get him out of his contract and are looking for a replacement for Chope. Sounds like Magomedov didnt tell the UFC about his RUFF contract

ONE FC signed 8-0 Korean prospect Dae Hwan Kim and added 3 fights to Moment of Truth:

Eduard Folayang vs Vincent Latoel
Koetsu Okazaki vs Leandro Issa
Dae Hwan Kim vs Thanh Vu

The event will be in Singapore. Singapore is really growing in terms of MMA, with ONE FC being based there and UFC coming in January. Hopefully we can bring something different and interesting to the table.

We won't be streaming our first event unfortunately, but after it airs on Television in Singapore we'll put the entire show up on Youtube for free.

Sounds great, always appreciate when promotions make their fights easy to watch. I would say you guys are bringing a bit more variety of Asian talent than both the UFC and ONE FC. The UFC Singapore is mostly Japanese fighters at the moment and when ONE goes to Singapore they generally just try to stock up on local talent. You got a nice mix going with Brazilians, Japanese, Koreans, and Singaporeans. And they arent random nobodies either, you got top guys such as Lion Takeshi, Lisita, Vinicius, Nakahara and solid prospects in Kim, Kaminishi (bit old I guess to be called a prospect), Hwang and Syafiq.

Anyways looking forward to your first event, good luck

I'm always up to catching a Lion Takeshi fight. Should be a good card from the looks of it.

Thanks guys. I don't want to flood the forum, but both the Executive Director of REBEL and myself have been fans for a long time. Hopefully we can put on a good mix of old school guys and up-and-comers in the future. We're always looking for input from die-hard fans, so any wish-list, fight or production wise, will always be taken in consideration.

@REBEL FC Card looks pretty good for an Asian MMA event. Lion Takeshi maybe a bit past his prime, but he used to be an excellent fighter and a guy I like either way.

Suggestions, you say? There's a ton of guys all over Asian and Brazil you can put on fights with like Masanori Kanehara, DJ.taiki, Seung Hwan Bang, Daisuke Nakamura, Hideo Tokoro, Mamoru Yamaguchi, Ulysses Gomez, Sheymon Moraes and Mikihito Yamagami.

I think there's a real somewhat untouched foreign market for you guys to dig into and could help you guys put on amazing cards.

I wish you guys nothing but the best and thanks for joining our humble community here at Tapology. I hope to see and hear from you guys frequently if possible in the near future.

@mmalari

Right now we're using unified rules, but things may change in the future. Asia is an interesting place to set up an organization because most of our audience is still very ignorant about MMA, but interest in the sport itself is growing rapidly. There's a lot of room to work with, rules wise. We may even end up doing something unique. Why not?

There's a lot of things I disagree with in how MMA is run in Asia, and internationally. It would be nice if we could alter people's perception somewhat.

Tokoro on one of your cards would be awesome, still hoping he gets the UFC call though, he really wants it

Also Legend FC has folded, pretty expected with them only running a show a year
