Yong would have been a good signing for the UFC, but not against Kawajiri.
Yong has the skills to get a couple of wins in the UFC and has the exciting style to put on the FOTN performances the UFC loves to have around.

If you haven't seen the news yet, Parky has decided to retire. It's a shame health and the military derailed his career so bad.

I'm guessing ROAD pays Chul more to fight lesser competition than the UFC does. Add in the jetlag and being able to fight locally all the time and I'm not surprised so many Asians have turned the UFC down.

Hopefully Kawajiri gets an opponent announced soon, if it's not Cub then Maxi would be an awesome fight assuming he has no suspension since he took literally 0 damage the other night.
That pic that I posted last week with Minha from Kpop girl group 9 Muses with KZ is apparently a pic from a show that aired early this morning in South Korea which takes a look at the UFC trends as well as having the MC's of the show receive training from the fighters

The Ryuto Sawada one was fantastic.
The kid has a lot of potential.
The VTJ president was very positive about JMMA in general and came off as a really good guy.
Watching the Waru tournament one now. I think ROY who fought in DEEP recently competed in one of their events and had a 60 fight win streak going before competing in DEEP.

Check the video @ 3:35. There's a fighter in white shorts with the GUMI tag on the back of his trunks and with a bunch of sponsor tags on his trunks.
That's strange if it's him since there's never been any talk about this.

WSOF is targeting March or April for their Japan debut. I would think April is more likely as Pancrase has events on March 30th and May 11th but nothing in April

Is Ishii training with Aerts and Mousasi regularly now? I know I saw pics a month or 2 ago with them and Ubereem together and here he is again with Aerts and Gegard, maybe he will finally develop something that resembles striking

Not much info is available on GLADIATOR, I don't even know who runs it. I know they have big ties to CMA Korean which is why there's Koreans fighting on their cards frequently. It's also a strange org. since it's not tied to a regional province or anything. They tour all around having events in different provinces. They don't cover all of their events either. They just cover their bigger events which are usually the ones run in Tokyo.
Ishii's always touring around training in different gyms and camps. I'm sure he's probably met Reem and Mousasi thanks to Aerts. They probably have met at IGF since they both compete there frequently and I'm sure he probably trains his striking regularly with Aerts. Training with Aerts could do wonders for Ishii's striking in his career. It sucks his fights from IGF aren't usually available.
