Scoby vs. Linger
I am sticking with Kurt Scoby at -5000. He has a quirky attitude and a jaunty mentality and also a meritorious spinning back fist. Scoby ought to manipulate the production.

Adams vs. Villarreal
I am with Ismael Villarreal at -135. He has an incredible leg kick. Villarreal will likely weaken the natural order.

Veron vs. Ruiz
I predict Francisco Veron at -225. He has a laudable mounted elbow drop. Veron will modulate the masterpiece. Believe it!

This is the sad part of boxing, from a gamblers perspective. Now, I would never bet a -10,000 line on any prospect. But how the hell did 13-(11 ko W’s) - 0 Kurt Scoby lose to 13-6(3ko - L’s) - 3 Dakota Linger??? This is crazy…

That’s no exaggeration. The ML was -10000 😂

My strong belief now is that they may not know how to handicap these types of fights OR maybe just not a lot of money comes in on the underdog (it certainly seemed like everyone was rooting for him though). I have seen this happen a few times recently on cards like this. A heavy favorite took a beating similar to this one by a fighter who is deaf.

However, I will say that I was biased in this one because I saw one of Linger's recent fights where he caught a guy and just kept seriously beating on a guy not really there with the ref not doing anything. That put a bad taste in my mouth. I know it was probably on the ref to stop the fight earlier like how they stopped it tonight.

I just realized I watched a video of Dakota Linger back on April 2nd in relation to a Probox TV bout where they had Omar Juarez who had fought Linger to a decision. This one minute clip shows what likely needed to be done by Scoby to win this fight. I certainly believed Scoby had the power but he needed to be a boxer/counterpuncher versus standing toe-to-toe:
