When I was a kid, I used to go on a comic book forum, and one of the popular sections was the "Respect" section, where people would devote threads to specific characters and only discuss positive things about them.

I randomly happened upon Bam Bam's page today, and was blown away by his record. He's currently riding a three-fight winning streak against very respectable opposition just outside of the top 10-15 lightweights, and while he has a ton of losses, just look at all of the veteran names that dot his record. This guy's going to have some stories to tell his grandchildren.

Discuss, and let the Respect Thread trend begin officially on Tapology. Remember, the aim of Respect threads is to give fighters props for various accomplishments. If you don't like a fighter in a respect thread, stay out of it. Also, if you're going to make a Respect Thread, title it the way I titled this one, with the Fighter's name, followed by ... you guessed it ... Respect Thread.

Healy is definitely one grizzled veteran.  Looking at his record now, I didn't even realize he had a UFC fight.  Considering all the great fighters that he's been in there with, it's hard to believe he lost that UFC fight to Anthony Torres.  Does anyone know if he took it on short notice or something?

Daley, Hardy, and Condit are great wins for anyone. Especially for a guy who doesn't even fight at welterweight anymore. Respect to any guy who's been around and fought tough competition like he has.
