Landsberg was trying to be a smart ass the whole time, obviously if you try and **** with Chael he's gonna come back at you.

I cant stand Landsberg. Sonnen was in the right for leaving. You think if you had the chance to interview THE Chael Sonnen you would actually take time to ask relevant questions.

Chael clearly went into this interview with the intent of causing a scene.  But I think he was a little off of his game.

@cash it's all to hype the fight.  He's full-on WWE.

First he said the No-Jeira brothers and he said Anderson is known as a humble guy...I would do exactly what Chael did, Landsberg should stick to interviewing WWE guys. Then he really said "maybe you should do a few sit-ups", what a ******* idiot.

Interviewer (Landsberg?) thought he was doing a real interview of a real athlete.

But this was just a promotional opportunity for Chael the entertainer.

And sure enough, everyone's talking about it now.

@Greg and @Cash are you guys serious? The first question he asked was "Why did you back down out of the fight" That's not how you start out an interview with an MMA fighter. And after that he clearly had no idea what he was talking about and was trying to get cute, I've liked him alright in his WWE interviews but he was stupid as **** in this one.

well they didn't show in that clip that they showed Chael's challenge at UFC 136 of leaving the UFC or Silva leaving the division his question was did you back down from that challenge not from the fight

I think this was a bit of hyping a fight on Sonnen's part. But I do also think it had alot to do with the fact Landsberg was just asking ridiculous 'questions'

No, Swickotine, it opened exactly like this.  After showing Chael the clip of his post-fight speech against Brian Stann, where Sonnen said he would leave the UFC forever if he lost a rematch:

"Those words from Chael Sonnen after beating Brian Stann at UFC 136 on October the 8th.  Now just over 5 weeks later, Chael you've backed down, is that the truth?"

And, in fact, Chael did back down.  Sonnen didn't want to admit it, but it's the truth.

Here, let me translate the entire interview for you:

Landsberg: You're full of ****, aren't you?
Sonnen: No comment, I'm here to make a scene

"I live, I die, I live again."

Whether you like Landsberg or not, he is just doing his job.

You'd think Sonnen would have thicker skin.

@jody on the contrary I think Sonnen has the thickest skin in the UFC.  He'll say anything and most of the time he'll say it brilliantly with perfect delivery.  He's amazing in that sense.  Seriously, he's a machine.

Sonnen must of been in a bad mood cause nothing was wrong with the questions and i don't see how any of this would hype a fight at all so he's just a lil nuts maybe. If he continues to do this eventually he won't get any interviews at all, these tv personalities won't take the chance of being insulted like that on tv.

Wow that was a stupid way to handle the situation on both guys' parts.  Chael hardly gave him a chance at all though so I can see why the interviewer was getting frustrated.

I think it was a horrible interview on both ends, but then again, I can't stand Chael Sonnen.
