Stupid question.  Are we assuming the guy was the spy because he resigned?  I haven't been following this as closely as I should.

Rampage and Jones were on ESPN this morning. And Rampage named "Leonard" on there.

I will repeat what I said in the other thread about Jones' alleged spying.  Who cares?   How much spying can you really do in MMA when your opponent's fights and training regimens are posted all over the web?  When you fight at that level, your strengths and weaknesses are posted for the entire world to see.  This isn't the NFL, where there are unique defensive and offense formations and packages.  This is fighting.  It's also not like Rampage fights differently each and every time he steps in the cage, or implements any unique strategies of his own.  Rampage fights how Rampage fights, no matter who his opponent is.  Jones could literally go and sit in on Rampage's training sessions every day, and I don't think it would change a damn thing.

Jones wins this fight with our without some stupid and pointless spygate scandal.

lol, if this is true I think it's hilarious. I just watched an interview where Rampage was talking about how great Musclepharm had been to him for this camp.

still kinda makes me lose any shred of respect I have for jones as a sportsman, first his false humility and now this... hard to like a guy like that

Can anyone explain how, other than Rampage making a bunch of ridiculous claims to hype this fight, that Jones is actually involved in any of this?

Sounds like people are looking for any excuse to dislike Jones.

This spygate thing to me is ridiculous and doesn't even make any sense so far.

If all of this is true, it shows that Jones is scared.  From how most people have the fight going, he shouldn't be afraid.  I never once counted Rampage out in this fight, and I do want him to knock Bones Jones out.  This is all just ridiculous, but makes for good hype.. =]

To be fair, I guess it's possible that Jones' manager could have known about the spy without Jones being in on it.

I hate to say it, but I also get the feeling that Ariel Helwani is letting himself become a little bit a part of the story.  He's creating part of the drama here.

the spygate thing is literally pointless, i just think its funny that this is the hype tactic rampage decided to use, and some slight mind games. I think it make sense to try and get into the head of young fighter, but rampage is just crazy.... do check out the article at mmafighting about the musclepharm facility hes been training and living at though for the last 2 months, a dedicated rampage is a scary one.  http://www.mmafighting.com/2011/09/23/to-prepare-for-ufc-135-bout-rampage-jackson-literally-lived-i/

@buffalo I would expect him to investigate and determine what is fact vs fiction vs hype and not get people worked into a tailspin until he's done that.

Right now I can't verify that ANY of this spygate thing is based on real facts.  It's just speculation and accusation.  It sounds to me like a storyline that is creating hype for tomorrow night's fight.
