Where does Eddie go after a hugevupset against former ufc and wec champ Anthony Pettis? After winning two in row, alverez's future is unclear with donor mcgregor earning a title against that divisions champion...we have many possible prospects as he waits for the super fight to pan out.

Nurmegomedov: coming off of injury it is reported that nurm will be back in the cage soon. The 22-0 Russian who has a win over division champ Rafael dos anjos looks like a good choice.

Diaz: after a violent striking war against Michael Johnson which ended with the resident of stockto ca, getting his hand raised, it seems that Diaz may be a could candidate for the former bellator champ.

Tony Ferguson: A man on a murderous win streak, with wins over Josh Thompson, Edison barboza, and Abel Trujillo to name a few, tony Ferguson seems to be on an unstoppable tear, maybe the man on a two fight upset winning streak is the next best ufc match up.

Micheal Johnson: though following two losses in two huge wars it seems that maybe another seemingly entertaining matchup is what the ufc needs in a five round main event.

Al iaquinta: with huge heart that is reminiscent of that of ufc legend and hall of famer Forrest Griffin, al iaquinta's hard punches and tremendous heart could make for an exciting match up.

With a huge talent pool in the lightweight division, it makes finding alverez an appoinent after a legendary upset, a very tough task...so what do you think? What's next for Eddie alverez?

Alvarez the most borring 155 top contender, facing Ferguson the most exciting 155 top contender? I like that match up!

How dare Alvarez not give Anthony Pettis room to do a 540 degree tornado cage kick. What a *****.

Alvarez almost always puts on great fights. He's definitely not a boring contender.

I'm not saying he's a *****, he fights smart and win the fight, that's ok but what he really did? during the first and second rounds, he pushes Pettits against the fence and did nothing. He is as exciting as Bader is...

Not even gonna respond to that to let you know how wrong you are. But, at least we kind of know that you have never seen an Eddie Alvarez fight prior to last Sunday, so that's okay.

that's one fight , you need more examples if youre gonna call someone a boring fighter .im not a alvarez fan , but he's not boring throughout his career he's been in some awesome fights .

like when i call cruz boring , i have more then one to go to . and how he never finishes fights even tho he's capable of it but decides to get a dance workout in instead. where Alvarez i think has finished most of his fights in his career and always trys to finish you . , if he would of stood in front of pettis he would of got tagged and probably put away . he fought smart and knew pettis has **** tdd so he did what he could for that win . guess you wanted him to stand there and just get knocked out . if you dont stay tight on pettis when you take him down like he did and guida then youll end up getting tapped . you gotta pressure him

I saw the Melendez and Cerrone fight. Against Melendez it was better than against Pettis, but nothing really impressive. The Cowboy fight was better but, you remember how it ends.
Anyway, I stop arguing with you cause Alvarez groupies will make me bust the record for the thumbs down!

Well, Cowboy wanted to make the move to WW for awhile and it became pretty obvious that he isn't beating RDA anytime soon. I'm a big Cerrone fan too.

And I agree that Khabib is a fight nobody wants at 155. RDA has evolved so it'd be interesting, but I think Conor is a better stylistic match-up for him than Khabib.

I think Khabib beats anyone mentioned.  His fight with Tibau was pretty tough and many thought he did not deserver that decision. A guy with good striking and great TDD is what beats Khabib and none of the guys mentioned have that.

@Hyrm To say that Eddie Alvarez is the most boring fighter at LW might be the single most ignorant I've heard this week.

Eddie Alvarez vs. Michael Chandler I might just be the greatest lightweight fight of all-time.

I'm not saying he is the most boring fighter... I said he is the most boring top contender based on his 3 ufc fight.

@Anik

That his MO, he always says some stupid negative hypster comment in every thread he post in, for example he also called carlos condit the most overrated welter weight fighter.  So take whatever he says with a giant grain of salt.

Don't know why you consider my coment "stupid negative hypster" Simply because i'm not saying the same thing as you? Condit makes me eat m'I word in his last fight, I admit it. Based on his Woodley, Hendrick, St-Pierre and Diaz fight, I wasn't considering as a top contender but he proves I was false. I never said he was "the most overrated WW". This status goes to Hyung Kim. I'm not noting every prediction you fail to put them back in your face, but I'm pretty sure you're not 100%.
