Not surprised.

He's the trifecta - He looks jacked, he's from a Latin American country, and he's Jesus preacher.

I'll be happy if this leads to Jacare getting a title shot, he's far more interesting vs. Rockhold than Romero is IMO. Also nice to see Romero get punished after cheating his ass off.

Get used to this news. The USADA-UFC program actually went into full effect for the 1st time this month. It’s going to ramp up big time now.

USADA has been saying all along it was going to take time for the program to gain traction. Looks like they weren't blowing smoke.

Also of note:

Hearing that Romero popped for a designer steroid - a peptide that increases testosterone production.

They caught Romero for a designer peptide, which is extremely difficult to test for.

I can't wait to hear what Tim Kennedy has to say about this.

It just goes to show how underrated the eye test is.

Romero is running out of ways to cheat, by the way. I thought he had done so already when he defended Jacare's takedown via cage grab.

Welp, now we likely won't be seeing Romero until he's 40. Good luck getting to the belt clean and in the throws of middle age.

lol! I love Romero, but I was totally expecting this. I kept wondering what would come first, his title shot or hot piss test.

I guess fooling the commissions was much easier for him to do than fooling USADA. Designer PED, huh? I thought he just had cycling out down to the T when in fact he had a super PED++. I wonder what gay Jesus has to say about that ...

I can't link stuff of my work computer but Larry Pepe gave some interesting insight to FRB on twitter about how hard it is to catch someone using this type of designer steroid.

Perhaps this is why the UFC wouldn't commit to him getting a title shot being he was caught on a test 4 days after his fight. And don't argue it couldn't be when RDA, Connor, & Cerrone all have fights booked ;)

I am shocked. Same with Lombard. Those two were doing some amazing stuff just like Barry bonds and roger Clemens. Your physical peak is 40 according to these guys. All kidding aside, I'll take whatever Yoel is taking. Dude is jacked

The UFC can easily just throw Romero to the side as he is not a main attraction but what if someone like Rousey or Conor had something similar happen?  How would they spin it? I seriouys doubt either of them has ever messed with such stuff but I am hypothetically wondering on what the UFC would say.  They absolutely love those two.

They'd probably say the same thing as when Anderson Silva tested positive.

expect 20% of of the fighters to get caught. the sport is only going to decline from here. they probably did it soo gsp(gsp wanting a clean division) could get a fight in. my best guess is he thinks either Lawler or hendricks or maybe both of them are doing the same thing) in the long run the ufc will be with much less talent even if these fighters are cheating. i would still give romero his shot vs rockhold.  just because i like the soldier of God soo much. he is my personal cash machine. the people who bet against him must be the most pissed off. he was an underdog in many of his fights and probably was cheating in everyone of them. the money i made off him is still mine and the people who wagered on jacare, machida ,brunson etc, etc; all i got to say is YO and tuf ****.

What can they do? They could try to cover it up, or they release a statement like did when Anderson Silva popped and abide with the suspension.
