Idk... he has some nice wins, but that loss to Stann and beating Wandy... idk. You have to decide whether to place him ahead of guys like Bisping, Munoz.. I'm going to take a hard look at it.

I really hope Rousimar Palhares gets a top 10 opponent after he beats Alexandre Ferreira. I really believe he is a top 8 middleweight.

He def has the potential... but a win vs. Ferreria won't put him in the top 10. The match making the UFC is giving him is kind of holding him back.

i have him at #6 but having him at #2 is like having alvares that high in the 55ers. Lombard is a king in a small pond. I only have him at #6 because he is a champ and is on a nice streak but i think that a couple guys below him in my rankings would beat him.

@ Heroak - I didn't even think about Hector Lombard. Sonnen might have to come out of my top 10 due to his recent inactivity.

So if Sonnen beats/loses to Machida does that affect his ranking here?

probably not.  When BJ was LW champ and he fought GSP at WW, that didn't affect his ranking.  I don't really see this fight affecting the rankings

But if it wins does it mean he gets a shot or does he have to fight at 185?

i honestly dont think chael is as good as he thinks he is...he's a wrestler, with horrendous submission defense...theres a whole mess of bjj experts at 185, and i'd take them all to beat sonnen...maia did it, and maia would do it again...however, i have him up to 4 because his style looked good against silva...even tho he got sub'd...again
also, i like lombard...he's in bellator, but he's destroying the people he should

@jersey I don't think anybody is as good as Chael believes himself to be. But the fact remains he destroyed Okami, Marquardt, Miller (a BJJ black belt) and gave Silva the toughest fight of his UFC career.

@thefreeman. Agreed, and the UFC needs to start giving him the competition he deserves. I love his transitions on the ground.
