Predictions: 10 of 13 Pending | Tied for 1st with 84 others
Alexander Shlemenko, TKO, R1
Shlemenko is so washed but is somehow on a winstreak again
Nagibin vs. Tokov
Vladimir Tokov, DEC
Pretty shocked Bellator let Tokov go. He is basically a “Lite” version of his brother, pretty well rounded but not spectacular anywhere. Would be cool if he ends up in a major org again
Mikhailov vs. Lourenço
Nikita Mikhailov, DEC
Never been that imoressed with mikhailov. He is a wrestler but doesn’t do a lot with his top control and can easily be swept or put in a bad position. He is fighting a grappler so I imagine the takedowns will come easily. Wouldn’t be shocked if he lost but idk his opponent very well
Martynov vs. Abbasov
Kiamrian Abbasov, DEC
Good fight for Abbasov since neither are great grapplers. Abbasov is a really fun striker, I’ll never forget that war he had with Christian lee; he was dominating lee for most of the fight then gassed out. I think he likely stays in Russia but he could put on some fun fights in pfl/ufc
Gamzatov vs. Shtyrkov
Ivan Shtyrkov, TKO, R2
I always wish we got shtyrkov in the ufc, he isn’t that good and is juiced beyond belief, but he is very entertaining and has quite the resume. I’ll be shocked if gamzatov even makes it to the fight. He always pulls out and the last time we saw him compete, he quit almost immediately after getting cracked
Chopurov vs. Lavrentyev
Asaf Chopurov, DEC
This is a really tough one. Lavrentyev was one of the best guys on the regional scene for years, but unfortunately he never got picked up and is now past his prime. He is a really good judoka & training partner of Petr yan. He has beaten a ton of good names like victor Henry and Taylor lapilus. Despite being 3-0, asaf amassed a very impressive 33-1 amateur record. His striking needs some work but he is a high level wrestler. It’s risky, but I kind of think he can beat Lavrentyev. If he gets the w, asaf cements himself as one of the best prospects out there; even if he is washed, Denis has a ton of experience and would be a huge name to beat at only 4-0
