Been a while, but thought I would send a Boxing post... First things first, I truly think Ilunga Junior Makabu will have too much natural size, strength, power and experience in his WBC World Cruiserweight Title defence against Badou Jack... Jack at 39 will be made to feel his age and he will have slowed down over the last 3-4 Years since the close loss to Jean Pascal... Makabu will just have too much and I for one would love to see Makabu Vs Lawrence Okolie moving forward... I think Junior Makabu stops Badou Jack between Rounds 8 and 10... πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯Š

No, I'm not curious at all!! Ha

Thanks for letting me know tho bud. I'll probably have to have a look there to find out the results because those 3 prelim fights aren't on BoxRec for some reason

I agree Jay. I think Makabu will stop Jack here.

But if this fight goes the distance I am certain that the judges will gift Jack the decision!!!

Luckily Makabu is a thunderous puncher so if he lands he'll do damage!

My thoughts precisely Mikey... I don't see the fight going the distance and I do see Makabu dropping Jack and really putting it on him at some point mid to late in the contest... Should be a good fight whilst it lasts, but I don't expect the result to go to the scorecards πŸ€”πŸ’―πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ‘ŠπŸ‘πŸΌ

In trying to score fairly, I would probably edge the 1st Round in favour of Badou Jack... Jack 1 - 0 Makabu πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯Š

Another relatively closely fought Round in Round 2... I thought Makabu did slightly more damage in the Round, especially in the last 20 Seconds of the Round Makabu 1 - 1 Jack πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯Š

Thought Makabu had a decent Round 3 after using the tempo... Makabu seems to have warmed into the contest... Makabu 2 - 1 Badou Jack... Badou Jack seems a little gun shy to me... Anyone else agree?? πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯Š

Where did that punch from Badou Jack come from... A solid shot from Badou Jack tbf... Scores the Round 10 - 8 to Jack, meaning I have it scored as Makabu 37 - 38 Badou Jack... Maybe a little over confidence by the Champion πŸ€”πŸ’―πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯ŠπŸ‘Š

A close round 5... Makabu was busier, but the cleaner work was from Badou Jack tbf... Possibly an even Round... πŸ€”πŸ’―πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯Š

Makabu looks pretty bad here!!! I forgot how bad he looked in his last fight vs Mchunu (Mchunu beat him clearly but was robbed on the cards!).  I was focused too much on how bad Jack looked in his last fight (also a robbery vs a regional level fighter)
Makabu has never been a great boxer, he is a big puncher. But he used to be able to cut off the ring and put himself in position to land enough shots to break down his opponent.
None of that is happening tonight!!!!

This looks like it's over already. Jack can just jab and move his way to a clear decision victory.

Makabu needs a Hail Mary!!!!!

Definitely a Makabu Round in Round 6... I'm going to give Jack Round 5, so I have it scored Makabu 56 - 57 Badou Jack πŸ€”πŸ’―πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯Š

Is any one seeing the fight like Richie Woodhall is seeing it?? He has Makabu ahead by a couple, but at best I would have Badou Jack 1 up going into the 10th πŸ€”πŸ’―πŸ₯ŠπŸ₯Š
