Chookagian should be considered a championship caliber fighter. She has fought everyone and been very competitive in her two split decision loss. Her two most recent losses have come against current or former UFC champions. As a fan, I hope she signs with Bellator. She has demonstrated in the UFC that she could challenge for their flyweight championship immediately. However even if she didn't challenge Velasquez immediately, there are other interesting matchups in the division. Fights against Macfarlae, Kielholtz, Watanabe, Lara or Bennett would be very interesting and could set her up for title shot. A rematch with Carmouche down the road would also be fantastic. Hopefully Bellator can compensate her correctly and she doesn't mind leaving the UFC. Chookagian has also proven willing to fight anyone, and there are several fresh options in Bellator.
