Normally we put rumored fights up on the site as soon as they seem credible. But in this case I think it would be a little disrespectful to George Roop, who Hominick fights next week on the Fight For The Troops card.

Will wait and see what happens in that fight, and if Hominick wins can post this new fight.

to sum it up succinctly, ALDO >> HOMINICK >> ROOP.  so while hominick should get past roop in the next one, i don't think he has the game for aldo.

i was actually more impressed by poirier's last outing than i have been by hominick. hominick has clean striking but not a great deal of power.

I think 145 gets the most interesting over the next 18 months as UFC 155ers start deciding that they can make 145. Then you get some real proven talent starting to mix in against guys like Poirier, Nunes, Grispi, Hominick, and see where everyone really stands.

I figured Hominick would be next as long as he gets by Roop. He's got an incredible win streak going and could possibly come close to matching Aldo's speed, close is the key word.

Well since Dana White just mentioned they will do this if Hominick wins, I'll put this fight up on the site as rumored.

this should be a fun fight, but i don't think Hominick will stand a chance against Aldo. I agree that 145 will be much better once the UFC lw's start dropping to fw. For now though, i dont think anyone outside of the Omigawa/Mendes winner will pose any threat to Aldo. Hioki would be a good fight too.
