And this isn’t a fluke by the way, he gets so many round 3 knockouts because he’s fooled ppl into thinking he’s nothing but an athletic freak with super-human wrestling when in actual fact he spends the first couple of rounds studying and more importantly “programming” his opponent with twitches, fronts and whatnot. You could see from the first round that overhand left was what him and his team saw as the money shot for this fight. He threw a few when Luke was able to make him whiff to see what his tendencies were when the technique was thrown, he registered that Luke goes straight backwards while leaning his head back, from here on it was just a matter of waiting for the right opportunity (with the cage behind Luke to limit his preferred escape route) and stepped into it more. Yoel Romero has one of the best striking minds in this sport.
