It'll be boring either way too, pillowfist jab-fest for 5 rounds or lay and pray for 5 rounds. Bleh.

It's not the fight i'd pick but I simply stopped really caring years ago,I just try to appreciate whatever we get and that's good because the match ups are getting even more ridiculous. The fact that Whitaker is injured makes it a little better.

I am looking forward to Dana's increasingly belligerent responses to how he justifies this fight making any sense.

not really sure why everyone is still *****ing. Whittaker is injured. Not really sure who else deserves it so much that people are still *****ing. I just think people hate of bisping complete clouds there judgement.  Anyway, GSP wanting this fight makes tons of sense to me. When all said and done, GSP coming back and winning back the welter weight title after a lay off, won't mean **** next to winning a title in the weight class above.  People can pretend otherwise, but history always favors the multi division champs. Sometimes I feel like the die hards are completely out of touch.

Sometimes I feel like the die hards are the only ones not out of touch with the sport. They still want the best to fight the best. Yep this fight makes sense if you are Bisping who gets to defend his belt against a welterweight coming off a four year lay off who still has a massive name, for GSP who gets to add to his legacy and for the UFC who can sell this ****. If people are *****ing it is because they still believe in good match making not the current state of the sport. I know from my own point of view I'd respect the UFC more if Dana turned around said 'We are making this fight because it will make us lots of money' as opposed to trying to pretend that GSP has somehow earned this by spending 4 years getting 15lbs heavier.

Now this fight is being made to say **** you to Woodley. He came out put on a terrible fight and then boasted about it after the fact saying it was a great performance. But really with Whitaker out and Mousasi signing with Bellator the other most deserving fighters are all coming off losses.

Yup exactly only other notable fighters coming off wins are Weidman and Silva who I think both need another W to really even be considered title contenders. Spider vs Weidman 3?

Dana gives Woodley a hard time for being a boring defensive point fighter that doesn't pull the trigger he called it " no risk, no reward", yet GSP has the same reputation. Just GSP sells PPV and is a big name/draw. Sucks for Woodley! Wish it was Woodley v GSP for the title

Canadians are crazy about GSP like Irish people are about Conor thats why hes a big draw. I'm personally a Woodley supporter but GSP vs TWood would be like watching paint dry  I feel unless GSP hasnt been training much Bisping should be lightwork as where I feel Twood would give him a solid match.

@joker313 GSP was never a boring defensive fighter. He didn't take a bunch of risks but he dominated his opponents and was the agressor for more than the defender. He took people down at will picked them apart standing and made it look easy most the time. His fights resembled nothing close to Woodley's last two, where he spent the entire fight with his back to the fence in defense eeking out rounds hoping to land his one big power shot. Woodley did just enough to win each round GSP made top 5 opponents look like amateurs. Just because they both go to decisions doesn't automatically mean they are both defensive fighters.

^^ I wonder if he was referencing the " no risk, no reward" when saying that about GSP
