Prediction: wrong Nelson   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 1

^This is what he looked like when he built his name as a grappler, I doubt he can do 70% of what made him a great grappler with his current physique (try to imagine him throwing any kind of submission off his back), he hasn't submitted anyone in a non-exhibition MMA fight since 2006 (that's a DECADE ago) yet people keep going on about his "BJJ black belt bruh" and constantly give him the grappling edge.

Of course I agree that when you're KTFOing dudes on a consistent basis you'll tend to gravitate towards that rather than grapple, but still, he's been in fights where he's been losing and I haven't seen any black belt ****, I think that Roy knows better than his fans that he just can't cut the black belt **** anymore because there's a limit to what you can do with that gut (barring lay on top of Kimbo Slice and crucifix-punch him into a TKO).

I'm 100% sure Roy's still got thew know-how and technique, but I doubt he has the explosiveness to actually get a fight to the ground (Barnett wasn't expecting it, so it happened, but nothing really came of that anyway) nor the agility needed to keep someone as explosive as Lewis on the mat. Maybe if he manages to lay his gut on Lewis' chest he can bank on Lewis having zero knowledge of how to get out of that he may pull it off (how exactly does that happen when his wrestling sucks?), but do you think he's going for an armbar from there? He'd lose balance in a juffy and find himself like an upside-down turtle being gorilla punched. He'd most likely crucifix and patty-punch or work for a Kimura (which Lewis knows how to defend - see the Pesta fight). Real black belt ****.

I don't think the "hype" around Lewis is because people actually think he's a contender. It's because he's becoming a fan favorite. He's great on social media, and he's got a fun style in a sometimes lackluster division.

Does anyone remember Lewis KOd Jared Roshalt? Something Roy boy failed spectacularly to even come close to?

and Roys 40. Gonna be a lot of mad nostalgic fans when this is done.

Prediction: wrong Nelson   wrong Decision

This is kind of like when Lewis fought Matt Mitrione. First guy to land the big one wins. Nelson won't use his ground game so this is a case of who has the better gas tank I think. Nelson could out point him for the decision like he did to beat Rosholt in his last fight.

" Stephen Quadros: "How long have you had that mustache?" Don Frye: "Since I was 5. I got it from my mom's side of the family. She's not a pretty woman.""

Whoever lands big first is gonna win. Lewis has gotten better though while Roy seems to have lost a step.
