Thought people might be interested in discussing the (in my opinion) more important issue than the current cocaine mania that's conveniently masking anything else we may have discovered in these random tests.

Some digging on r/mma churned up a treasure trove of implications. Posted some important info to mull over.

This isn't at all a scientific assumptuon, but it might help put things in perspective: average Joe has a ratio of 1:1 with T levels of 600 ng/dL in their blood. A 0.29:1.00 T:E ratio (71% decrease in T from a 1:1 ratio; for reference the removal of your testicles would result in a 90% decrease) would indicate a T level of 174 ng/DL. Below 300 is considered low.

Now, if JBJ had higher levels of T, he could drop off and still be above that 300 marker but such a decrease in T (or something more incriminating: an increase in E) is dramatic.

I wouldn't bet my medical license on it since he is not my patient and I didn't examine him, but his T:E ratio isn't what I would expect from a young male in his physical prime. There are a lot of zebras out there that can cause this, but I think we should stick to the horse we all know. I agree with you OP, and I can't wait to see what his ratio is once his post fight tests come back.

From my brief reading on the subject, cocaine can cause lower testosterone levels...but we'll see what the later tests look like.

As far as I've been able to find, Cocaine has nothing to do with the T/E ratio. Absolutely nothing. It's a ratio, not a measure of how much T is in your system. It's a measure of T relative to E. These results strongly imply he's using masking agents and/or cycling.

Interesting, I hope they look into this further. Sounds like Jones be on some ****. This is kinda crazy that it being overlooked. That seem extremely low.

The suck is pretty strong. I think they'll have to catch Bones injecting himself with roids on video before Dana will unlatch his mouth from Jon's crotch region.

If you divide Jon's DHEA by his 5a-diol and then multiple the result with his Andro level I think it becomes quite easy to see that he is ******.

The whole situation is a jumble **** of epic proportions. Any non champion caught using cocaine would be cut immediately. Any champion not named Jones or Rousey would more than likely be stripped of their title immediately. UFC favoritism is starting to make a mockery of the sport. Anderson Silva getting an automatic title shot if he beats a welterweight is also a ******* joke and another case of UFC favoritism. Bottom line is if you're a PPV draw and make them money the rules don't apply as heavily to you as they do to other fighters. Which is ******* bogus. They need to get their priorities straight, and quickly, before they start doing serious damage to their brand, and alienating their fighters.

I think the Anderson announcement was a also partly feeble attempt to give the MMA community something else to argue about ... don't they know us by now? We can argue about everything at once, just because you feed us a dummy potential title shot doesn't mean we're gonna get out of Jones' ass ...
