Alcantara never fights any tops guys besides the Faber fight. He should be fighting Eduardo or someone up there instead of Doane.

I have been going with Doane lately which makes this fight hard to pick. Gut tells me Alcantara takes the fight by decision.

I BOLIEVE in Doane too bit I think Alcantara may be a bit too much too soon. We'll see, I have a feeling Doane might surprise so I haven't made my pick yet.

Prediction: correct Alcântara   correct Decision  

Alcantara has only lost to Urijah faber and Hacran Dias in the last 5 years and has 25 finishes out of his 30 wins; Doane is similar stylistic fight but I'm taking Alcantara for experience in what could be a really close fight

Doane was lucky to get the decision against Brimage. I don't think his striking defense is good enough to avoid being ran over by Alcantara. Also agree that Alcantara deserves higher ranked guys, even against Faber he looked better than any non-champion bantamweight since Wineland.

A bit of an old bump, but I have to say Doane did much better than expected and how the hell did Hallman-Tibau win Fight of the Night over this?
