Rin Nakai says Miesha Tate is beautiful and sexy.

I like where she's going with this ...

Agreed about the Tate/Carmouche decision. Neither fighter did a ton, but Carmouche actively did nothing. Tate deserved the W. I think she's at once under and overrated in the division. She was handily schooling Zingano before the blitzkrieg from hell. Then again, it's tough to tell what wins and losses to top 10s mean in a division this green.

Miesha's face always looks like she's smelling a fart.

Miesha seems to have this weird thing with fighting to the level of her opponent. She looked better against Ronda than anyone had yet in their first fight, had lots of trouble with Julie Kedzie of all people, was tooling Zingano until she got kneed in the face in the third, gave Rousey by far the most trouble of anyone in their rematch, and was getting controlled by Carmouche for the first and some of the second before she came alive.

Nakai is extremely overrated and should be fighting at 115. Miesha's got this.

I watched Rin Nakai's last fight with Brenda Gonzalez and I think if she beats Miesha Tate this weekend, this could be yet another contender for Ronda Rousey's Women's Bantamweight belt which also could yeta gain continue to shake up that division in terms of contenders recently signed. Very unique takedowns and great submission ability and athleticism I believe will garner a win for Rin Nakai despite maybe fighting in the standup game too defensively.

Tate is going to be faster and has a big size advantage, she's gonna wear her down, get her back and finish it.

I watched several of Nakai's fights today and was underwhelmed. LaRosa was able to hit her a lot. Tate should win the standup easily. Nakai is fairly good on the ground, but I'd be surprised if she gives Meisha too much trouble there. In the second Rousey fight, Tate defended herself on the ground really well (a relative thing... better than anyone else has defended against Ronda's ground game, while ultimately getting subbed. And Nakai ain't Ronda.) My guess is Meisha lights her up on the feet early.

I also watched two of her fights today. Pancrase matches vs. Danielle West and Brenda Gonzalez are available on Fight Pass.

I was also extremely underwhelmed. She showed herself to be pretty quick and competent on the ground, but astoundingly hesitant to commit to strikes or takedowns on the feet. Her takedowns seem to occur in transition, when her opponent forces themselves into her space.

If this is a boring fight, it won't be Tate who makes it that way.

Tate should win this one handily. She is just the flat out better fighter, plus size and experience. Unless Ronda shows up in a Rin Nakai costume I don't think her Judo will be good enough. Tate, like it or not, is one of the best 135 pounders out there.

Can Tate break up with Caraway for Nakai now? It's what I was hoping for with the pre-match compliments. Or maybe I'm too into the Paige-AJ feud in the WWE, IDK.

I said this in the event thread. Miesha needs to dump Caraway for a better strategist. Clinching with judokas and getting thrown repeatedly isn't the best way to win a fight.
