Kalibo you talk about the other 4:30 like Machida did so much. Phil was the one pushing the action for majority of the fight.

Imagine how anally ****** the UFC would be if Glover Teixeira lost to Ryan Bader...I'm kinda hoping for it actually.

Instead of being a smart ass why don't you explain to me what Machida did in the other 4:30 of rounds 1 and 2 that warranted him winning those rounds.

I wasn't being a smart ass, now don't get aggressive, it shows immaturity.  I was just thanking you.

Now that that's done...

I think when I update my rankings... I'm going to put Phil in the #2 slot.  Regardless of what anyone thinks, he won and deserves the ranking.

  • Jones
  • Davis
  • Gus
  • Evans
  • Machida
  • Hendo
  • Glover
  • Nog
  • Rua
  • Gegard.

I think that is how my new ranking will look.

I dont know man. I have not seen the fight yet but from what I have been reading it was pretty clear Machida won despite what the judges decision read. Even fight metric has Machida clearly winning. And before anyone states that fight metric is not always right which is true. Fight metric normally always sides with the volume over quality. And it still gave it easily to machida. Which to me means it must have really clearly landed the better shots. The fact Davis did nothing from what i have read with the two take downs he did landed and was stuff 10 times. Makes it really difficult for me to see how Davis could be ranked over Machida. I going to have to watch the fight but every source I have read has given it to Machida.

@Franklin... I have to rank Davis over Machida b/c of the official result.. even though I hate doing it.

Everyone who's so up in arms, remember: there is NOT an equal space between each ranking position so don't get overly concerned. Jones is #1 by a wide margin and then the next 8-15 or so fighters are all bunched very closely together so it's all just a matter of opinion and that's what makes MMA great.

You're right @Mule... but Davis did beat Machida and lil nog... so I rank him ahead of both, though you don't.  But you're right... it's tight after Jones... very tight.

EDIT:  @Franklin.. mine are too... I posted my future update on the previous page.
