Morecraft comes on strong with wrestling and GnP and may even take the 1st round. I think Meathead survives and picks apart a tired Morecraft in the 2nd.

@wolfman, I saw that too, Morecraft looked scared. I think Mitrione steamrolls this one, he gets better and better every time he steps into the octagon. That being said, after watching that weigh in, and knowing my new rule that I added to me profile regarding tattoos of ones last name, I am changing my pick to Mitrione ko/tko rd 1.

@dvn. i'm thinking of changing to first round too. if mitrione ever learns some wrestling technique he would be a beast. he does have excellent TDD. he just leans with that big body(on his opponent) and they can't get him down. beltran tried all night to get him down. no dice.

@wolfman I think the same will happen in this fight except Mitrione is so much faster than Morecraft this fight won't see the ground at all. He gets faster, lighter on the feet, more crisp and improved striking every time out. Maybe after this win he gets a step up in competition to see where he's at, maybe a guy like Mike Russow, some people might frown at that idea but the guy just beat Madsen who was on a tear and he hasn't lost a fight in over 4 years.

i had russow in both his fights. he was a big underdog vs duffee and a small underdog vs madsen. he can fight. he just has a belly so people don't take him seriously. russow is also a policeman. russow has made me some real money too. russow vs mitrione is fine with me.

Well matchup wise I think it would make sense considering I thought the winner of this fight would get lined up with Travis Browne but he's fighting Rob Broughton now, and the UFC wouldn't match him up with Carwin or Roy Nelson as they've just come off back to back losses, I don't really see anyone else they could match him up with except maybe Pee Wee Herman, Russow, or even Cheick Kongo if he gets by Barry.

Despite his nickname Mitrione is actually a pretty calculating guy, probably thinks himself extra clever for putting up a mask of dumb meatheadness to surprise his opponents at fight time. Just so happens he's not a bad fighter either.

gotta take meathead...lol i really didn't like that dude on the show, but he won me over with all the tito talk and the way he has really improved his skill set each fight. you can't teach the kind of athleticism it takes to make the nfl, but you can teach that athlete how to kickbox, wrestle and submit...i think he's gonna be a contender
