Yasser Zeid is the Current Iraqi CFC Lightweight Champion as of 9/30/14. He was a contestant on Desert Force Al Academiya season 2. He is competing as a Featherweight for a shot at fighting for Desert Force in the near future. He faced Osama "Manou" Ashraf for his fight to get into the house and dominated him, finishing with a Rear-Naked Choke in the 1st.
In The Quarter Finals of the Al Academiya tournament, Yaser was set to face the Algerian Mehdi Zyosh Didou. Unfortunately Mehdi could not make the 67kg limit and Yaser would get a free pass to the Semi Finals of the Featherweight tournament. In the semi finals of the tournament Yaser would face Serge Saad from Lebanon. In the first round Yaser would have to fight his way out of some nice submission attempts by Serge. In the second round Yaser would come out in a flurry and TKO Serge standing with a barrage of punches. Yasser will face Ghaleb Al Harahsheh at the Desert Force 14: Al Academiya 2 Finale to see who wins the Al Academiya featherweight title.
