Wiki

Tony Stewart Wiki

Tony Stewart began his training at Wand Fight Team in Las Vegas, NV as soon as the gym doors opened in 2009. After almost two years of training and enduring brutal sparring sessions with some of the sports best, as well as placing in the top 3 of grappling tournament he competed in he had his first amateur fight against Glen Severson for Las Vegas MMA. He won that fight by TKO in the 2nd round. In 2012 he moved to California to get away from personal distractions in his home town of Las Vegas, NV and trained at various gyms such as Kings MMA, Gokor's Hayastan Academy, L.A. Sands Boxing Gym, and Total MMA Studios. He was scheduled for his first professional fight against Javier Montoya for Bamma USA's Badbeat 5 event. However, his opponent, Javier Montoya, never showed up to the weigh ins. Frustrated, Tony went back to training and eventually made his debut on the Bamma USA Badbeat 6 card against Team Alpha Males Teshawn Walls. He won in entertaining fashion by a brutal 12 second knockout, still holding the record for quickest knockout in Bamma USA history. In his 2nd professional fight he went up against System 8 product Adam Gonzales. Stewart lost by submission in the first round. After some years away from training and focusing on raising his twin boys, he has gotten back into training and is looking at competing again and has a desire to compete in both Muay Thai and Bare Knuckle Boxing. He is also focused more on coaching stand up as well as his passion has always been to coach others, especially at risk youth.
