Roger Narvaez Wiki

Roger Narvaez began training in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu back in 2007 so he could lose weight for his job as a fire fighter. He had some success in regional jiu jitsu tournaments and decided to give MMA a try. He is now a 2nd degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do under Master Clifford Mckenzie and currently holds a black belt in Jiu-Jitsu under Hector Munoz.

Narvaez went undefeated as an amateur winning all four fights by finishes before turning pro. He would win his first 6 fights as a professional leading to a signing with the UFC. He would lose to Patrick Cummins in his first fight for the promotion by TKO. He would bounce back with his first UFC victory with a Majority Decision over TUF Alum Luke Barnatt. He would face another TUF alum and the winner of the Canada vs. Australia TUF Elias Theodorou at UFC 185. He would have a rough go of it losing by TKO in the second round and also breaking his arm when he blocked a kick early in the fight.
